About Richins

Gary Richins Jr. was born in Salt Lake City, UT on August 26, 1983. He and his family moved to Michigan when he was five years old. They lived there for six years while his father was starting his career as a consultant for Franklin Covey. Gary moved to Woodland, UT, near Kamas, in 1994 where he finished out his schooling.
Gary loves sports and weight training, and has since he was about ten years old. He played football and basketball for South Summit High School. Football being his main focus. He was awarded First Team All-State his junior and senior years. Receiving the award at tight-end in the Deseret News both years, and at defensive-end in the Salt Lake Tribune two years in a row as well. He was also given the Defensive MVP of the 2A-3A All-Star game in 2001. The Wildcats went to the State Championship his sophomore, junior and senior years, but fell short all three times. He was offered scholarships to play football in college, but unfortunately had had five knee surgeries so was unable to do so.
Gary is now married with a one year old son. He and his wife Angie love playing with and raising their son Tyse together. He has been an AFAA Certified Personal Trainer now for about two and a half years and hopes to continue training until the day he retires. He has always had a passion for physical fitness and helping others to reach their physical goals. Gary believes that health is a lifestyle and needs to be approached as such. It does not happen overnight and you have to work at it everyday, but the rewards are completely worth it.
