At 40 years old, I am in the best physical shape of my life. After my second child, I was left with extra weight that would not go away. After 12 weeks of Bootcamp With Jess, I lost 30 lbs and was stronger than I had ever been. After 5 months I could do full sets of one armed pushups, have defined abs, and can sprint on a fully inclined treadmill at full speed. I went from a tight fitting size 12 to a comfortable size 6. My next goal is to be a size 4 and to be able to do pull-ups unassisted.
Bootcamp With Jess is the most difficult workout I have ever done. It is also the most gratifying workout I have ever done. The instructors push you past your comfort zone to reach your personal limit each day. I am always so amazed and proud of what I was able to accomplish each time I complete a workout. You are continually pushed harder than you would ever push yourself. You could never get this kind of a workout on your own.
The Bootcamp instructors are committed to each person they train. They give you 100% and make sure you give 100% back. They will help you attain your goals and then set new ones. They will push you to reach new physical bests.
I like the teamwork of the military style workouts. You train with the same small group of people each day and build a camaraderie that is unique to Bootcamp With Jess. Even though you receive individual training, many exercises are done as a group. Often your teammates must continue an exercise for the duration it takes you to complete a task. This keeps everyone working together and doesn’t allow anyone to slack at the group’s expense.
My husband started Bootcamp With Jess weighing over 300 lbs with diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol. He had 4 hospital stays in 3 years. He did Hell Week with a 40 lb vest that was held on with duct tape because the straps wouldn’t fit around his body. He could not do a sit-up, could barely walk the treadmill and had to modify most exercises to fit his ability level. He is now 60 lbs lighter, doing all the workouts, running at an 8 speed and higher, and is stronger than he has been in decades.
